The Barrel Maker is straight up drinkin' music, not watered down. telling it like it is, and Keeping the country tradition alive with heavy rock and roll roots.
founded in 2015 by Evan Kuiper. after the ending of his latest heavy metal band, with a desire to do something different, and no stranger to late night karaoke, the songs just poured out like shots of whiskey. within a few short months, recording began for the first ep titled “maybe one day” which included 4 hard hitting originals and a cover of billy squire's “the stroke”. evan played shows for a few years as a solo act while laying low and living the country lifestyle.
in 2022 despite the worlds current health situation, evan travelled to nashville where he met producer ernie rowell. they instantly hit it off with their love of real counrty music and not of the current trend. two months later, evan returned to nashville and began recording. ernie had lined up an incredible group of players who have shared the stage and studio with some of country's greatest inlcuding: David Allan Coe, george jones, jamey johnson, john anderson, alabama, and many more. needless to say, they knew what to do and it was solid country gold. it was evan's greatest honour to share the studio with them. they recorded 9 original songs and a cover of david allan coe's “spotlight”. singles are currently being released with the full album expected this summer.
in 2023 evan knew it was time, and assembled a touring band of country renegades. no drama, no bs, just good times and good tunes. from dive bars to motorcycle rallies to rodeos they are quickly climbing the ladder and proving a force to be reckoned with.
